Doc McStuffins Premiers 3/23 on Disney Junior!

Read on to find out how my kids liked it, and to find out more about it!

March 21, 2012

I received a preview copy of Doc McStuffins, and we (as in all of us) love it! I really like that Doc is a girl pretending to be a doctor, and whose mom is an actual doctor. I also really like health lessons in each episode - the episodes we previewed covered such topics as hygiene and the importance of rest.

My three sons' favorite character so far is Hallie, voiced by Loretta Devine. Yes, they have been going around the house talking about the "Big Book of Boo-Boos," which is Hallie's signature line in the show.

In all it's a really cute show, and one that we've now played at least five times in two days (translation: my preschooler REALLY likes it!) Keep reading to learn more about air times and the show synopsis.

Watch the Doc McStuffins the premiere of Disney Junior's "Doc McStuffins," an animated series that models good health, hygiene, compassion and nurturing for kids age 2-7. Each episode contains heartwarming stories, features an original song, and stars a little girl named Doc who can talk to the stuffed animal and toy world -- and they talk to her too, especially when they need her help repairing a stitch or bandaging a boo-boo. Along the way, Doc and her friends Stuffy, Lambie, Hallie and Chilly impart helpful tips about self care and care for others, and chase away the worries over visiting the doctor.

In the first episode, Emmy Award-winning Ty Burrell ("Modern Family") guest stars as Big Jack, a nurturing Jack-in-the-Box, who takes his son Little Jack to get a check-up from Doc. The series premieres FRIDAY, MARCH 23 on the popular Disney Junior block on Disney Channel (9:00-10:00 a.m., Central) and the new 24-hour Disney Junior channel (check with your cable or satellite provider to see if the 24-hr channel currently available).

The series voice cast includes: Kiara Muhammad as Doc; Loretta Devine as Hallie; Lara Jill Miller as Lambie; Robbie Rist as Stuffy; Jess Harnell as Chilly; Jaden Betts as Donny McStuffins; Kim Brooks as Mom McStuffins; and Gary Anthony Williams as Dad McStuffins. The series' theme song is performed by the star of Disney Channel's hit series "A.N.T. Farm" and Hollywood Records recording artist, China Anne McClain.

The premiere of "Doc McStuffins" on Friday, March 23 will be simulcast on Disney Channel's mobile providers Sprint TV and MobiTV and be available immediately thereafter on DisneyJunior.com and Disney Channel mobile VOD. The full episodes will also be available on iTunes and Xbox Live beginning Saturday, March 24.

In conjunction with the premiere on March 23, DisneyJunior.com will debut a "Doc McStuffins" supersite featuring an interactive clinic where kids can assist Doc in nurturing toys back to health, three new online games and "Doc McStuffins"-themed crafts.
