Amaluna presented the coming of age story of the main character Miranda. With an almost 70% cast of female characters, Cirque du Soleil expressed female empowerment to its fullest. An all-female band, musicians and the beautifully costumed main characters…Wow!!!
The show was very intense, plus the music and stage were so magical. I loved so many of the acts that I found it hard to choose which one was my favorite. The whole cast was great! The acts were seamless and appeared so effortless. The lizard and his tail had my attention all night as I was amazed at how real it looked.
Overall, I would highly recommend seeing this show while it is still here in Houston. If you haven’t been to a Cirque du Soleil show before, there is nothing else out there that compares. Amaluna is the second traveling Cirque du Soleil performance that I have attended, and I definitely have plans to attend other shows in the future. I assure you that you won’t be disappointed.
