Bicycle Helmets are a Must!

Macaroni Safety

With the weather breaking and summer upon us, there is no better time for a bike ride! But before you let your little ones hop on, make sure their top is properly guarded for safety.

Every year nearly 300,000 children end up in the hospital emergency room from bike injuries, some of them to the head. Wearing a helmet doesn't stop children from being reckless, but it does provide some protection for their head and brain in the event of a fall.

The U.S. government thinks that bike helmets are so important that they created safety standards for them. Your helmet should have a sticker that says it meets standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). So check for a CPSC sticker, strap on your helmet, and enjoy the ride!
