Visit the" Houston" Mural

Activity Idea

By Harlisha Homer February 5, 2014
Last year, the city of Houston commissioned local graffiti artist GONZO247 to paint a mural representative of the city. A bright, colorful artistic representation of Houston emerged on the side of Treebeard's restaurant Downtown (the Market Square location). The mural is located across from Market Square Park, on the corner of Travis St. and Preston.

What should I do there? Well, you simply must snap a picture of yourself and/or your children in front of the Houston mural.

Is it easy to access? It's easy to find. Metered street parking is available near Market Square Park across the street.

Time allotment: No more than 30 minutes. It's the kind of thing you do if you happen to be in downtown Houston or to fill some time on a nice day. You can also stroll the area and see some of the really cool artwork in Market Square Park.

Location: 315 Travis, Houston, on the side of Treebeard's restaurant.
