Via Colori Street Painting Festival - November 23 (updated)

November 18, 2014
Updated: Event is Sunday, November 23rd only, due to forecasted inclement weather.

Houston Via Colori® Street Painting Festival, presented by LINN Energy, is this weekend, November 22-23, 2014 in Downtown Houston at Hermann Square and City Hall. Saturday hours are 10am - 6pm, and Sunday hours are 10am - 5pm.

Houston Via Colori is one of Houston’s most beloved signature art festivals. This spectacular two-day event, free to
the public, attracts over 25,000 visitors annually to see the streets of Houston come to life through imagination and art.

Houston Via Colori benefits The Center for Hearing and Speech by raising $400,000
to fund critical health and educational services for children with hearing loss.

For the very first time, Houston Via Colori announces a theme: The Art of Sound. Street artists will draw inspiration from music and nature to remind attendees of the amazing gift of sound that the Center for Hearing and Speech gives each day to its clients.

This year, look for new features at Houston Via Colori including: Tromp I’oeil, a 3-D chalk art section; strolling performers; and an exclusive Mood Lounge. Returning popular features include Via Bambini, a street chalk section for kids; IKEA Scavenger Hunt; live music on three stages; a Family Zone; and food and drink vendors.
