Non-Profit Spotlight: Fort Bend Women's Center

January 25, 2015
The Fort Bend Women's Center helps survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children to achieve safety and independence. Services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, transitional housing assistance, a state-of-the-art shelter, PennyWise Resale stores, and education and outreach.

How You Can Help

Attend an event. The next event is the center's annual Girlfriend's Giggle on February 5, 2015. The center hosts other events throughout the year.

Shop or donate to one of the PennyWise Resale Store locations. The three PennyWise stores and Donation Center support the Fort Bend Women Shelter in two ways. Using goods donated by the local community, PennyWise provides clients and their families with clothing, furniture and household goods to help them start new lives. Through selling the rest of these donated goods in the stores, PennyWise also helps to support the center's life-saving programs.

Volunteer. Opportunities are available on the hotline, at an event, or in many other ways.
